Emergency Care BC is a provincially led network that aims to optimize health outcomes, improve the quality and coordination of services, and enhance the experience for patients, families and providers requiring emergency and trauma care within BC.

Learning Objectives

This session will help participants:

  • Understand the purpose and goals of ECBC
  • Learn about the ECBC Strategic Action Plan Development
  • Review the key areas of Provincial Focus
  • Become familiar with key projects underway
  • Engage in opportunity of questions/discussion

Lori Korchinski – Executive Director, Emergency Care BC & Trauma Care, PHSA

Lori completed her BSN in Nursing at the University of Victoria with a background in emergency and trauma nursing. She completed a Master of Arts in Leadership at Royal Roads University and a Certified Health Executive designation at the Canadian College of Health Care Leaders. Previously, Lori was the Operations Director for Emergency, Trauma and Critical Care at Vancouver General Hospital and the Regional Program Director for Emergency and Trauma for Vancouver Coastal Health and Providence Health Care. She consistently demonstrates a visionary approach to leadership, strong systems thinking and a commitment to quality.
