New eLearning course for providers advances person-centered health care

Trans Care BC is excited to announce the launch of a new e-Learning course, Gender-Affirming Relational Practice (GARP), which launched in October. This two-hour course provides an overview of how health-care providers can combine clinical practice, relational practice, and gender-affirming care principles to improve access and care for trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary (TTNB) clients.

This course, available free of charge, meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 2 Mainpro+ Assessment credits. It was co‐developed by Trans Care BC and the Prince George Division of Family Practice, and made possible by a financial contribution from Health Canada.
