The UBC Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is pleased to announce the 17th Annual EM Research Day, taking place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 (9:00 AM–4:00 PM PT) at the UBC Life Sciences Centre (Point Grey Campus), with a Zoom option available for virtual attendees.

This full-day event will feature engaging podium presentations from faculty and trainees in Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM), highlighting completed and upcoming research. The event will also include a plenary presentation by visiting professor Dr. Amy Plint on The intersection of clinical care and clinical research in the Emergency Department.

 

Call for abstracts:

Submit abstracts via Qualtrics by Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Selected presenters will be notified within two weeks. The Dr. Riyad Abu-Laban Resident Abstract Award will recognize the top four ranked resident abstracts, with prizes for first place and runners-up.
