We are seeking your feedback on the draft BC Provincial Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner (NP) Competencies.

Your input will help refine a competency framework intended to support NP practice in emergency departments. The framework was developed by a provincial working group in partnership with all Health Authorities NP leadership, the Ministry of Health, and NP subject matter experts. We are seeking feedback from NPs, ED teams, and other interested partners. NP licensure is shared nationally in Canada, and emergency practice and the underlying competencies are common across the country, so a nationally informed framework will be stronger and more useful. We are reviewing the draft section by section, and your perspective on what is clear, complete, and workable in practice is valuable to us.

Please feel free to share this survey with colleagues or other individuals who may have relevant experience or perspectives and would be well positioned to provide feedback on the competencies. Your help in connecting us with additional participants will support broader provincial and national input.
