Emergency Care BC is pleased to announce the full provincial launch of the BC Provincial Emergency Care LPN Integrated Practice (ECLIP) program, following a successful soft launch in December 2025.
To support full integration, ECBC has developed classroom curriculum resources designed to support nurse educators. These resources include lesson plans and framework guidance to support implementation tailored to site-specific and health authorities needs. ECBC will continue to work with health authorities to develop resources to support LPN integration in the emergency setting.
Provincial Resources Available
The following resources are live and ready for BC Health Authority integration:
- BC Provincial ED LPN Competencies document
- ECLIP Online Orientation Curriculum (Available though LearningHub)
NEW
- ECLIP Classroom Curriculum Resources designed for Nurse Educators and Health Authority leads supporting ED LPN work (Available through the ECLIP Educator Teams Channel)
These resources support patient-centred emergency care by optimizing LPN scope and supporting team-based practice in emergency departments (EDs). Developed through a provincial collaboration and aligned with BCCNM standards and entry-level competencies, this framework strengthens ED teams by clarifying role contributions and providing targeted education and practice supports so LPNs can build the specialized skills needed in evolving emergency care models.
