ECBC is excited to announce a new and easier way to get Provincial Emergency Patient Information Resources (PEPIRs) into the hands of your patients upon discharge!

Starting in early February 2025, VPP (VCH, PHC and PHSA) users in ED and UPCC will find a QR code to the ECBC PEPIR library is automatically embedded in the Patient Instructions component of the ED Patient Discharge Handout. These embedded QR codes will direct users to the Emergency Care BC patient information page, which will soon be available on the discharge page.

Remember to print off the ED Patient Discharge Handout and give it to your patient so they can understand more about their diagnosis, home-care instructions, and more.
