What Matters To You @ BC SUPPORT Unit Conference
Join hundreds of health care organizations across the globe in asking What Matters To You? At the recent BC SUPPORT Unit Conference: Putting Patients First: Lessons Learned for Patient-Oriented Research, Kim Eggers (EM Network Patient Partner) and Sharla Drebit (EM Network Manager) spoke to conference participants and patients about what matters to them.
We’re also asking our members, “How do you ask patients what matters to them?” We believe that when a health care provider starts a conversation by asking what really matters to the person they are caring for, it helps them to build trust, develop empathy, and understand their patients – ultimately, it improves the quality of care they provide. For more information on the What Matters to You campaign, visit the BC PSQC website.
Thank you to the BC SUPPORT Unit for including the EM Network in its annual conference, where 300 attendees from the Unit’s four stakeholder groups – patients, clinicians, researchers, and health system decision makers, were in attendance. Along with hosting the EM Network booth, Sharla Drebit was part of a panel presentation on virtual platforms to support patient-oriented research. We’re looking forward to next year!
