Public review of the CAN/HSO 75001:2026 Cultural Safety and Humility National Standard of Canada is now open until Feb. 27.
This review provides an opportunity for anyone committed to advancing cultural safety and humility in health and social services to read the draft standard and share feedback, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples, patients, caregivers, health care professionals, and other interested partners.
The draft standard outlines requirements for health and social service organizations to design, deliver and evaluate culturally safe services with First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, and to address Indigenous-specific racism. It includes guidance related to leadership, service delivery, and workforce planning and safety across health and wellness journeys in the health system.
Please review the draft standard and complete the survey by Feb. 27, and consider sharing this opportunity with colleagues and networks who may be interested.
