The UBC Therapeutics Initiative (TI) has released a new, patient-friendly handout that explains why oral (PO) antibiotics are often preferred over intravenous (IV) options. Developed with input from patient partners, the 1-page resource uses plain language and visual design to support shared decision-making and reduce unnecessary IV antibiotic use.
